Rev. Toson answered the call to ministry on Easter Sunday in 1998 at Cosmopolitan AME. Jeff believes that the focus of his calling is to minister to the lost, love the unlovable, and to lead by being led by theLord. On March 6 th 2011, Rev. Toson established Strong Tower Christian Life Ministries (STCLM). Through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, STCLM has seen twelve people give their lives over to Christ, given beds away to children in transition, donated clothing and toiletry items to men’s and women’s shelters, held a women’s conference designed to speak to the needs of women in an African American context, donated school supplies and sixty book bags during their community Back to School Bash, and hosted an Open House designed to educate the Memorial Drive community about Strong Tower’s ministries.
Rev. Toson hobbies are writing, reading, playing basketball and spending time with his family. He is the devoted husband of the former Ms. Joya Chavis and the father of Jayla and Jasmyn Toson.
Rev. Toson’s favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me,” and believes the best sermon he could ever deliver is the one that he lives.
